Although you do have a number of different options, you may first want to target yard sales. One of the many reasons why you may want to target yard sales, when looking for things to sell on eBay, is because of what you may find. Although some yard sale hosts will try to sell damaged items or "junk," you can actually find some high quality items available for sale. Some parents decide to sell their children's toys or clothes when they no longer need them, others sell perfectly good clothing when they gain or lose weight, and so forth. While most items sold at yard sales are used, some are items are like-new.

Despite the possibility of a variance, books, movies, games, toys, clothes, exercise equipment, and home décor items are all sold at yard sales. As for what you should buy to sell on eBay, you should do a little bit of research first. Completed listings can give you a good idea as to what type of items, like children toys, sell well or don't sell at all. As a final tip, be sure to check your local newspaper and its yard sale section. Many yard sale hosts will have a small list of what they have available for sale. This can help to give you a good idea of what yard sales you should target and which ones may be a waste of your time.
Selling on eBay can be challenging, but it is more than possible to make a profit.
